Brown Butter Cream sauce The Perfect Keto Sauce
I love a good sauce to pour over my meat and vegetables, and this one is amazing. It is quick and easy to make, just let it simmer while you cook your main meal. The brown butter cream sauce is the perfect keto sauce, very high fat and very delicious.
I started with browning 4 tablespoons of butter on my pan. The best way to brown butter is to swirl it in the pan, not stir it.
Mmm, butter! When it reached golden color I poured it over to a sauce pot that was already hot on medium low heat.
I chopped up 1 clove garlic and added to the sauce. Be careful, it will bubble and fizzle up on you.
I then added 1/4 cup of chicken stock and 1/3 cup of cream.
I gave it a good stir until it was all combined and looked more like this. Butter sauces can be difficult as they will separate on you, nothing a good stirring can’t fix!
I added 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper for bolder flavor. You can decrease or increase that amount for your own taste buds.
I gave it another stir, lowered the heat down to simmer and let it sit with occasional stirring until it thickened, about 5-10 minutes.
The Brown butter cream sauce is amazing with fish, especially salmon or other types of meat like chicken and pork. If you need more flavor to your vegetables, pour it over and enjoy!
- 4 tbsp Butter salted
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1/4 cup Chicken broth
- 1/3 cup Cream
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- Brown the butter on a pan with swirling it around over medium heat.
- Pour the brown butter into a sauce pot and add garlic, chicken broth, cream, salt and pepper.
- Stir until combined.
- Lower heat down to simmer.
- Stir occasionally until the sauce has thickened, about 5-10 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
